As we ponder how to create the church our hearts know is possible, the topic of last week’s sermon, we may trip over language that feels uncomfortable or disingenuous to us. Some of us may hold the same beliefs, but speak of them differently, while others may use the same words to describe vastly different beliefs. This week’s service acknowledges the discomfort this may cause and the desire to lessen that discomfort.
