Greetings,
I am equally grateful, humbled, and proud to be the Director of Music Ministry here among this vibrant and committed fellowship.
I’ve found a spiritual home in UU values, which perfectly compliments my own truth: music is the ultimate language of communicating love, care, promoting justice, stewardship, and offering solace and inspiration.
As an educator/director/musician living in Peterborough, I make it my utmost goal to support each singer toward vocal health, and to provide a safe, enthusiastic, and encouraging environment for singers of all levels to find joy, strength, and camaraderie in singing together.
I have had an active piano and vocal lesson studio for 35+ years in Peterborough. I founded TraverSing Hospice and Palliative Choir (2011- Present), Voicings Sound Adventures (2014-Present) and Two Rivers Community Choir (2008-2020).
I have a depth of experience as an accompanist from musical theater to choral and dance groups, having offered musical direction to local and professional organizations, including ConVal High School, NHDI, and the Peterborough Players.
In addition to music directing and teaching, I offer grounding and healing therapeutic sound sessions to individuals and groups.
Reach out to me to learn more about our music program. Along with the choir, we have opportunities for small vocal ensemble work and guest musicians.
I look forward to singing with you soon!
In song and spirit, with love and care,
Marybeth
