Archbishop Desmond Tutu writes that forgiveness is "what puts us back together again," a choice to rejoin relationship. Is forgiving an obligation that we owe to anyone who says, "I'm sorry"? Can it be given without work and accountability? Whom does it benefit? Drawing again from the book On Repentance and Repair, let us consider these questions and their meaning in our lives.
After this service, the Rev. Michael Leuchtenberger (Concord, NH) will facilitate a congregational discussion of themes and takeaways from our "Who Are We?" sharing circles.
