"A free and responsible search for truth and meaning" is one of our Unitarian Universalist principles. "Jewish and Christian teachings which call us to respond to God's love by loving our neighbors as ourselves" is one of the sources of our tradition. Why, then, are we so often uncomfortable with Christianity? We revel in meditation, mindfulness, chanting, the rituals of many different faith traditions, but we often fail to welcome with equal enthusiasm and respect those who embrace Christianity as their personal theology.
